Personal Training Session Success

The secrets of success to every personal training session

Personal training sessions are a great way for you to improve your fitness levels. However, you may not be getting the best results from your personal training. Fortunately, SOL Physical Therapy has four success tips that may help you improve the effects of your sessions with our personal trainers.

Our team at SOL Physical Therapy has been helping the residents of Oakland, California for the past 22 years. During that time, we’ve developed services to help people meet their physical therapy, personal wellness and athletic performance needs. Every service we offer is based on two basic principles. The first principle is your needs should only be met with the best science-based therapies and training methods. The second principle our services are based on is you should be respected and treated as an individual. Using these two principles, our team has successfully helped many people meet their therapy and fitness goals over the years, and this experience has helped us develop four success tips for people using our personal training service.

Four secrets that may help you have a better personal training session

Our SOL Physical Therapy team knows there are many ways personal training may benefit you. However, we also know there are some secrets that may help you have a more successful personal training session with us.

The first secret to a more successful personal training session at SOL Physical Therapy is to keep an open mind. Our team knows you may be new to fitness, but we also know you may be a fitness veteran. In either case, we know it may be hard for you to learn new fitness techniques. However, trying to be open to new exercises and techniques may help to increase the success of your session.

A second training secret we want you to be aware of is you should always ask questions. We know you may feel too intimidated to ask questions about things in your session that you don’t understand. Every one of our trainers is always willing to answer any questions you have because we want you to succeed in meeting your fitness goals. Therefore, we encourage you to ask any and all questions you have during your training session. After all, you’ll need to understand the things we show you if you want to do them successfully on your own.

The third personal training secret our team wants to reveal to you is it pays to be open about your difficulties. Our trainers notice many people tend to push themselves too hard when working with a trainer. However, we want you to know that pushing too hard isn’t going to make for a successful training session. We realize you may want to challenge yourself during your sessions, but we also know pushing yourself too hard may lead to an injury. For this reason, our team encourages you to let us know if you’re having difficulty doing a certain exercise. This way we can help you modify the exercise or find a different exercise that’s slightly less challenging for you.

The fourth and final secret our team has for you is to make sure you put in the work outside of your sessions with our trainers. We’re aware this may not apply if you’re working with our trainers for every one of your fitness sessions. However, if you’re not using our trainers for every workout, it’s vital you work hard during your individual fitness sessions, too. Working hard in your workouts without our trainers may help you build your fitness more rapidly. This may, in turn, allow our trainers to help you work on progressively more challenging techniques in your sessions, which may increase your level of success even more.

Are you ready to put these four personal training secrets to the test at SOL Physical Therapy? Our team is ready to help you. There’s only one simple step you’ll need to take.
